Waterman Group starts work as designers on tallest building project in Dublin

Waterman Group has started work on site at the prestigious Capital Dock development by Kennedy Wilson in Dublin, Ireland where they have been appointed to provide civil and structural engineering services.

Capital Dock extends over 4.8 acres and is one of the largest undeveloped sites in Dublin’s central business district and will deliver 60,000m2 of new space at this prime waterfront location.  The project includes 30,000m2 of office space and 190 high-quality multi-family units across an additional three buildings, one of which will be the tallest tower in Dublin.

The development is inspired by the quayside trading heritage of the River Liffey and Grand Canal Dock and by the more recent commercial urban regeneration of Dublin’s South Docklands, Capital Dock is well situated just 20 minutes from Dublin International Airport.

All the city’s major transport systems facilitate easy commutes to Capital Dock from the Greater Dublin Area. High-frequency services by DART, Luas light rail networks and Dublin Bus cater for the thousands of workers in the district and there are multiple Dublin Bike stations for quick city access.

Nick Taylor, CEO of Waterman Group, commented:  “We are honoured and proud to have been appointed as civil and structural engineers on this major development which is transforming an exciting part of Dublin into a location of national importance.  We look forward to developing our relationship with Kennedy Wilson to create further iconic landmarks.”
