Still time to enter the ACE awards!

The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) is still receiving nominations from champions of the industry and their peers, ahead of a glittering event that is set to take place in London in January 2024.

The Consultancy and Engineering Awards 2023 celebrates the outstanding achievements of our industry and rewards excellence in people, projects and companies from the world of engineering, consultancy and the built environment.

Nominations for the 12 award categories are now open until Friday 11th August at 6pm - and the online process has been further simplified this year, making it even easier to enter.

Stephen Marcos Jones, CEO of ACE, said the 2022 awards ceremony held in January this year year after a two-year absence was a "fantastic occasion".

"Over three hundred people turned out to celebrate all that is good about the built environment sector," he said.

The full list of categories include Best UK Consultancy (micro), Best UK Consultancy (small), Best UK Consultancy (medium), Best UK Consultancy (large), Best Sustainability Project, Best Innovation and Technology Project, Best Transport Project, Best Social Value Project, Emerging Professional of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Inclusive Employer of the Year (including People First Charter) and Lifetime Achievement.

Last year, Hannah Mehr of Arup took the apprentice of the year title and said there were so many candidates shortlisted who “seemed amazing” - so she wasn’t expecting to win.

“Just being shortlisted was recognition enough - to win was incredible,” she said.

“I’ve had lots of support from work, which has been amazing and it’s given me visibility.”

“Personally, winning the award was validation of my decision to leave school at 16, which was unheard of in my school".

Hannah praised ACE for recognising the importance of apprenticeships with a specific award category.

“It validates the fact that apprenticeships are really important to the future of the industry,” she says.

“On an apprenticeship, you’re thrown into projects with actual responsibilities and the industry recognising that through ACE is brilliant.”

Winners of this year's awards will be announced at an in-person evening event at Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge on Thursday 18 January 2024.

Early bird tickets are available to purchase online now until Friday 11 August at 18:00. Prices are further discounted for those who work for ACE and EIC members, and for those who reserve a full table (10 seats).

Sponsorship opportunities will sell out fast, so please get in touch to register your interest in sponsoring a category. You may also download the sponsorship pack.
