Mott MacDonald appoints new general manager for Scotland and Ireland

Mott MacDonald has appointed Norrie Westbrook as its divisional general manager for buildings and cities in Northern Ireland, Ireland and Scotland.

Westbrook has been with the business since 2016 and was previously development director for both the highways division and then buildings and cities. A chartered civil engineer, he has been a lay member of the Infrastructure Committee at Heriot-Watt University where he also gained his masters in Civil Engineering with European Studies and takes over from Andrew Oldfield, the Mott MacDonald unit commercial director for buildings and cities.

Commenting on his new role, Westbrook said: “This is an exciting time to lead the division as we evolve into the buildings and cities unit in 2022 with excellent growth potential in both Scotland and Ireland. I am really looking forward to working with our clients, partners, and teams to continue to deliver a range of exciting projects across multiple sectors.”

Ken Norbury, Mott MacDonald buildings and cities managing director, said: “Norrie has excelled in his development manager roles and these provide the ideal platform for his new leadership role continuing to grow the business, collaborating with clients and working with colleagues to deliver outcomes aligned to our purpose. Norrie is a strong advocate for excellence, efficiency and people development, whilst keeping our client’s needs at the forefront of what we do.”
