Quintain appoints new executive director of development

Jason Margrave has been appointed as Quintain’s executive director of development, joining the firm from Stanhope plc where he worked as development director for 11 years.

During his time at Stanhope, Margrave’s main focus was pre-development activities including new opportunity identification and master planning. He was responsible for some of Stanhope's largest mixed-use regeneration schemes in Croydon and Reading and was also involved in the company’s research agenda and product design. Margrave is also an active member of both the British Property Federation and British Council for Offices.

At Quintain, he will run the development team responsible for the continued transformation of the 85 acre Wembley Park site which already has planning permission secured for 7,000 homes, including 5,000 homes for rent, making it the UK’s largest build to rent development. He will also lead on placemaking, as the company builds out one million sq ft of Grade A office and work space and 250,000 sq ft of new shops and restaurants. Margrave will also be actively looking for new business opportunities for Quintain beyond Wembley Park as a key part of his role.

Angus Dodd, chief executive at Quintain, commented: “Jason has joined the team at an exciting time for Quintain as we double our investment from the £1bn already spent at Wembley Park and continue to deliver one of Europe’s most exciting regeneration projects at great pace. His insight and experience from over a decade at Stanhope will be important to the success of Quintain and I am extremely pleased he has decided to join us.”

Commenting on his appointment, Margrave said: “The prospect of playing a leading role in this iconic, mixed-use regeneration project is a huge privilege and I am delighted to have joined Quintain. I am excited and committed to building on the great work to date and making Wembley Park the best place in London for its existing and future residents, workers and visitors.  Meanwhile, I look forward to finding new opportunities for Quintain to utilise their expertise in design, master planning and delivery.”
