There's still time to enter the ACE awards

Have you entered the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) awards yet?

If not, there's still time - but only just as entries close at 6pm on Wednesday Setember 13.

The Consultancy and Engineering Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of our industry and champion the best people, projects and companies from the world of engineering, consultancy and the built environment.

The categories include four Best UK Consultancy titles for micro, small, medium and large consultancies, as well as Emerging Professional of the Year and Best Sustainability Project.

The Best Innovation and Technology Project, Best Transport Project and Best Social Value Project will also be recognised, alongside the Apprentice of the Year, Inclusive Employer of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Uniquely for the industry and judged by the industry, the Consultancy and Engineering Awards provide a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership, celebrate performance, recognise and reward colleagues, and shine a spotlight on partners.

As well as recognising outstanding work, the awards will provide an informal environment for networking and for celebration with clients and will take place at Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge on Thursday January 18 2024.

Stephen Marcos Jones, CEO of ACE, said: “In January this year we held our 2022 consultancy and engineering awards after a two-year absence.

"It was a fantastic occasion with over three hundred people turning out to celebrate all that is good about the built environment sector, so I am pleased to announce the next edition of these prestigious awards to recognise, share and highlight achievement.”

Last year, Hannah Mehr, a data scientist for Arup, was named apprentice of the year and praised the Consultancy and Engineering Awards for highlighting the important role of apprenticeships in the sector.

“It [the award] validates the fact that apprenticeships are really important to the future of the industry,” she said.

“Personally, winning the award was validation of my decision to leave school at 16, which was unheard of in my school.

“On an apprenticeship, you’re thrown into projects with actual responsibilities and the industry recognising that through ACE is brilliant.”
