Salary:
To contribute to the profitability of the business through the application of excellent engineering practice. Resolves structural design issues, and provides innovative solutions to highway improvement schemes in a safe and efficient manner.
- To provide scaffolding and temporary (platforms, mats, RC /steel frame, formwork and falsework) works design schemes for varied projects
- To ensure all designs adhere to the latest codes of practice, UK regulations and company policy.
- To apply engineering knowledge to analyse the structural integrity of scaffolding and temporary works structures.
- To assess and design-out hazards where possible within the design process and propose effective control measures for the reduction and elimination of risk.
- To conduct site surveys, collect and assess site information, liaise with clients and site teams, as well as represent the Company at design and site meetings.
- To contribute to new business development by providing strong technical support to the tender process by identifying innovative and cost effective strategies and design solutions.
- To undertake other duties and ad-hoc projects as required by the business.

Requirements:
Professional / Technical Skills and Experience
Essential
- Previous experience as a Structural Engineer working in scaffolding and temporary works
Educational Qualifications
Essential
- A level or equivalent standard education.
- BEng/MEng Civil or Structural Engineering Degree
- Chartered Member of ICE or IStructE
- CSCS

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills at all levels.
