Waterman is a leading engineering and environmental consultancy providing multi-disciplinary services to the property, infrastructure, energy and environmental markets.

Due to an increasing and diverse workload an opportunity has arisen for a Principal infrastructure civil engineer to join Waterman’s Infrastructure & Environment team.  We have a growing portfolio of projects being delivered from Bristol and we are looking to enhance and grow the already established team. 

Core responsibilities of the position include:

  • Provide support to our civils team delivering work of a varied nature, including highways (Section 38 and 278s), drainage, infrastructure / services planning, external works, master planning.
  • Demonstrate excellent managerial and communication skills as project coordination and client liaison will form a significant part of the role.
  • Be capable of building and maintaining client relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • The preparation of Drainage Management Plans, Flood Risk Assessments, Infrastructure and Utility Assessments and other technical reports would be an advantage.
  • Experience in the use of standard engineering software packages including WinDes (MicroDrainage), CSC Tedds, Civils 3D would also be advantageous.
  • Be willing to get involved and add value to other integrated engineering in the Group’s property and environmental urban regeneration projects

Additionally, our Bristol office has a history of delivering Ports and Marine infrastructure projects. Demonstrable experience of working within this sector would be a distinct advantage as Waterman see this as one of the key growth areas over the next few years.

Requirements:
