PwC has been appointed to review the process so far on decisions about the future of Manston Airport, Transport Minister John Hayes has announced. The appointment of PwC is part of the government’s commitment to support Thanet District Council in their efforts to secure Manston’s future. The Kent airport closed on 15 May 2014 and the council has subsequently been considering options for keeping it open. Hayes said: “The independent consultancy we have appointed will strengthen the ability of Thanet District Council to find the right deal to secure Manston’s future.” See also Transport Select Committee on Smaller airports.
